China is now the 2nd largest growing economy in the world with no signed of slowing down and job opportunities are increasing rapidly. As China is so vast, each province can offer the traveler something different. In Sichuan, you can enjoy some of the most mind-blowing scenery in the world and visit the home of the panda. In Heilongjiang you can take to the slopes and enjoy fantastic ski resorts which are now becoming increasingly popular worldwide as an ideal skiing location. If you like to travel but wouldn’t want to miss too many home comforts, Jiangsu is home to many household brands you’d find at home such as Starbucks, Walmart, KFC, IKEA, McDonalds…the list goes on and on.
In South China, you can enjoy long, hot summers with temperatures regularly over 30 degrees. Sanya, China’s most Southern city is known as ‘Eastern Hawaii’ for its tropic weather, white sand beaches and rows of palm trees. Guangzhou, the third largest Chinese city is only 2 hours from Hong Kong by train and is one Chinas prime business locations. Teachers that live in West China can experience miles of scenic landscapes, go swimming in natural pools overlooking cascading waterfalls or located next to some of the deepest caves around.
For those living in East China, you can find some of the most developed cities in China whilst still retaining a lot of ancient culture. East China is home to Shanghai, Nanjing and Qingdao some of the largest economic cities in China. You can also find Suzhou and Hangzhou that are both said to be ‘heavenly cities’ and two of the most beautiful cities in China.
In Hangzhou you can find the famous ‘West Lake’ that encompasses the heart of the city and is renowned throughout China. Suzhou is home to the ‘Taihu Lake’ the largest in East China and borders 3 major Chinese cities. These two lakes retain ancient charm and are visited by millions each year.
Harbin, located in North China, is surrounded by snowy mountains and produces one of the most popular beers in China. It’s also home to the yearly ice festival which attracts 100,000s of tourists from all over the world to see 100s of detailed ice scluptures, drink in the ice bar, go skiing and ice skating and also to enjoy a variety of other popular festivals.
